We are saddened to announce the passing of John Martin, a founding company partner and past resident of Grand Cayman. John established the Cayman Islands practice in 1966 and was instrumental in many significant developments in the Cayman Islands including Owen Roberts Airport, Hyatt Britannia, Safehaven, Anderson Square and Butterfield Bank. He relocated to Miami, Florida in the 1980’s establishing Apec Consultants Inc. which provided support to the Cayman office until his retirement in 2012 due to health issues. The Miami practice was engaged internationally in resort, hospitality and commercial projects as well as completing many projects in the Cayman Islands.
